Most Android Phones already come with built in shortcuts to websites such as YouTube, Yahoo, FaceBook or other similar websites.
Well as time passes, more and more websites create such apps that allow you to view that certain website with its classic design or with the design offered by that certain app.
In my opinion this is quite advantageous to both the user and the website. For example, you find yourself browsing the market or whatever and you see some app that leads to such a website. Say you’ve never actually visited or heard of that particular website. Your reaction out of curiosity will be to either visit that certain website or download the app and thus visit it by another route. Either way that website gets traffic and you might get something good as well.
I couldn’t possibly name all of these existing apps but I gladly invite you to enter the android market and see for yourself. Who knows what you might find.
It is a very handy facet of smartphones, but the sheer number of apps sometimes make it hard to find the precis one. App hopping-changing a much used app(such as a calculator app) regularly is definitely an app related phenomenon. gametrender.blogspot.com
