Today we’ll be taking a look at the Motorola RAZR V MT887. I’ve been reviewing a lot of phone for the Japanese market lately, so here’s the newest Motorola RAZR phone. This one, as opposed to the others, which were world-wide, is to only be released for the Chinese Market. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 is a pretty decent phone, although it’s pretty far from the best ones. Still, with this in mind, you can safely bet that you’ll be able to get one for a lower price. Should a low price for this phone not be available when it’ll come out, I strongly recommend you to steer clear.
Enough with the intros and such, let’s begin this little review.
GENERAL
First off, we’ll be taking a look at some of the more general aspects of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit of info about the Motorola RAZR V MT887’s supported networks and announcement and release dates. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 supports both 2G and 3G networks, although, I must say that I haven’t really heard a lot about the 3G networks this phone supports. Still, it’s not up to me to decide how good they are since you’ll see them for yourself. Those networks are : GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 ( the 2G ones ) and TD-SCDMA 1880/2010 ( the 3G ones ). The Motorola RAZR V MT887 was announced in May 2012 and is set to come out somewhere in Q3 2012. That’s about it for the general parts, let’s move on now to the next one
BODY
Next up we’ll be taking a look at the body of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit of info about the size and weight of the device as well as see whether or not the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has any particularities related to the aspect. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 is around 128.5 x 65.8 x 8.4 mm big. This phone also weighs somewhere around 125 grams. As you can tell, it’s not that big, rather, medium sized. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 also has Touch-Sensitive Controls instead of frontal buttons. That’s about it for the body, so let’s move on now.
DISPLAY
Next up we’ll be taking a look at the display of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit about the type of screen of the Motorola RAZR V MT887, the screen size, the screen’s pixel density and resolution as well as see whether or not the screen has any protection and any particularities related to the display. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 has a Capacitive Touchscreen ( I’d tell you which type, but I can’t exactly find out what type it is ) with 16 million colors. The screen of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is around 4.3 inches big and can house a resolution of approximately 540 x 960 pixels. The pixel density of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is around 256 ppi, which is pretty good by my standards ( by my standards, anything that exceeds 250 ppi is more than enough ). The Motorola RAZR V MT887 also has Multitouch, however, it isn’t the advanced sort of multitouch that can support more than two simultaneous fingers. It’s pretty disappointing to see that the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has no Screen Protection whatsoever, but then again, you’d be a fool to pay a lot of money for a smartphone and not take good care of it. That’s about it for the display, so let’s move on now to the next part.
SOUND
Next up we’ll be taking a look at the audio output capabilities of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit of info about the alert types, speaker and audio jack of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 as well as see whether or not this phone has any sound enhancement whatsoever on it, be it software based or otherwise. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 has the following Alert Types : Vibration and MP3 Ringtones. This phone also has a Loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm jack on it. It’s pretty disappointing to see that it has no sound enhancement whatsoever on it. In the end, I guess you can call this phone pretty “basic” as far as sound is concerned. Since there’s nothing left to say here, let’s move on now.
MEMORY
Now let us take a look at the memory of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit of info about the RAM of the device has well as see how much internal storage space it has and whether or not it can be upgraded. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 has 1 GB of RAM, so I guess it’s pretty good on that part. It is a tad weird since the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has no internal storage space, either that, or it just isn’t specified in any place I’ve searched. Still, in order to fix that problem, you may use the Micro SD card slot which accepts any card of up to 32 GB. That’s about it for the memory of the Motorola RAZR V MT887, so let’s move on.
DATA CONNECTION
Next let’s take a look at the connectivity of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out a bit of info about the GPRS and EDGE of the device, the Speed and WLAN as well as see the Bluetooth, USB and other, if any, connections. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 has both GPRS and EDGE, both of them being Class 12. The GPRS of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is as following : 4+1, 3+2, 2+3 and 1+4 slots and can reach a speed of around 32 ~ 48 KB/s. It isn’t specified what speed the EDGE can reach, but we’ll leave it at that. The Speed of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is both HSDPA and HSUPA, however, it isn’t specified in any case what speed in MB/s they can each reach. The WLAN of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot. This phone also has a Bluetooth with A2DP ( I’m not sure of the Bluetooth version, as it isn’t mentioned ). The USB port of the Motorola RAZR V MT887 is a Micro USB v2.0 one. That’s enough for the connectivity, so let’s move on now.

This camera has the following features : autofocus, LED flash and geo-tagging. The main camera is also capable of recording in 1080p full HD at around 30 frames per second. It is also known that the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has a secondary frontal camera, however, it isn’t mentioned what kind of a camera it is. Since there’s nothing left to be said here, I say we move on now to the next part.

Unfortunately, the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has only one of the three, and even that one isn’t that powerful as to be considered GREAT. The only thing that the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has is a processor – a Dual-Core 1.2 GHz one, to be more exact. Since that’s all that there is at the hardware, let’s move on.
SOFTWARE
Time to take a brief look at the OS of the Motorola RAZR V MT887. Here you can find out what OS the Motorola RAZR V MT887 has and see whether or not it can be, or needs to be, upgraded to a better one. The Motorola RAZR V MT887 has Android OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed on it. This is currently the best available OS for phones, and frankly, I see no reason for an update, at least not for the next 6 or 7 months ( and that’s a long time for phones ). That wraps it up here, let’s go to the last part.

okia fanboys. . . Don’¨t know much, but yell very loud. This is based on the RAZR XT910 which launched way before pureview. Same as MT917, and the very old MotoZine Zn5 with Kodak camera. All had this type og design.
