Today we’ll be reviewing the LG Optimus L5 E610. LG has slowly built a reputation for itself as being one of the best providers of strong phones. Unfortunately, the LG Optimus L5 E610 is not one of those powerful phones. This phone is quite weak, actually. On the bright side, however, it’s probably way cheaper than the more powerful devices in the Optimus series. Without dilly dallying too much with long intros, let us commence this little review.
SUMMARY
As promised before, I would introduce a new part called summary in which I’ll try to resume in as few words as possible what the device is good at and what it is bad at. The LG Optimus L5 E610 isn’t the sharpest blade in the armory, no matter how you choose to put it. One of the best points of this phone is the fact that it has the latest version of the Android OS on it and that it also has a very powerful battery. The biggest downfall of the LG Optimus L5 E610 is the fact that it’s hardware is very weak. In today’s market, seeing a Single-Core among the Dual-Core and Quad-Core phones is a rare sight indeed. It isn’t a good thing to have, but at least they started to die out. Needless to say, when I’m referring to Dual-Cores and Quad-Cores, those phones have multiple cores in processors and graphics card as well. This one can’t hope to keep up with the new games, apps or such as it stands. However, it’s best advantage is that it is cheap, and people can experience the Android OS, and the latest version at that, without paying a monstrous price. That being said, let us move on now to the review per say and see exactly WHAT this phone has.
GENERAL
We’ll start off by taking a brief look at the general aspects of the LG Optimus L5 E610. Here you can find out a bit of info about the supported networks and the announcement and release dates. The LG Optimus L5 E610 supports both 2G and 3G networks. Those networks are as following : GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 ( the 2G ones ) and HSDPA 900 and HSDPA 2100 ( the 3G ones ). The LG Optimus L5 E610 was announced in February 2012 and oddly enough is not yet available. More so, the LG Optimus L5 E610 is set to come out somewhere around Q3 of 2012. That’s about it for the general stuff about the LG Optimus L5 E610, so let’s move on now.

The LG Optimus L5 E610 is around 118.3 x 66.5 x 9.9 mm big. This phone also weighs somewhere around 125 grams. As you can see, the LG Optimus L5 E610 isn’t quite that big. The only particularity the LG Optimus L5 E610 has is the fact that it has Touch-Sensitive Controls instead of frontal buttons. That’s all I can say about the aspect of the device, so let’s move on now.
DISPLAY

Here you can find out a bit about the type of screen of the device, the screen size, the screen’s resolution and pixel density as well as see whether or not the LG Optimus L5 E610’s screen has any protection and any particularities that might make it stand out from a crowd. The screen of the LG Optimus L5 E610 is a Capacitive Touchscreen ( I wish I could tale you what type of screen exactly, however, it isn’t specified ). The screen has 16 million colors and is around 4.0 inches big. The resolution housed by said screen is around 320 x 480 pixel. The pixel density of this display isn’t a whole lot, merely 144 ppi. This phone also has Multitouch on it, however, it isn’t the advanced sorts of multitouch that can support more than two simultaneous fingers on it. Unfortunately, the LG Optimus L5 E610 has no screen protection, so you’ll have to be extra careful with it, and no features that might set it apart from the rest of the phones. That about covers the display, so let us move on now to the next part.

Unfortunately, the LG Optimus L5 E610 has no sound enhancements whatsoever, no software ones and no hardware ones either. That’s all there is to the audio part, since there’s nothing left to write about. Let us move on now.

The RAM of the LG Optimus L5 E610 is around 512 MB, which used to be pretty half-decent up until the date the bar was raised up to 2 GB, instead of the old 1 GB. Should the storage space not be sufficient for you, know that the LG Optimus L5 E610 has a Micro SD card slot that can use any Micro SD card of up to 32 GB. That’s about all there is to know about the memory of the LG Optimus L5 E610, so let’s move on now.

The Bluetooth of this phone is a v3.0 one with A2DP. This phone also has NFC and its USB port is a Micro USB v2.0 one. That’s about it for the connectivity, so let’s move on now.

Here you can find info about the battery type and see how long said battery can function. The battery of the LG Optimus L5 E610 is a Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery. This battery can work for approximately 900 hours of stand-by in both 2G and 3G and up to 10 hours talk-time in 2G and 9 hours and 20 minutes in 3G. That’s about all there is to know about the battery, so let’s move on now to the next part.
