There has been a lot of hype lately about the HTC M7 on the internet. People are quite happy to see a new phone from HTC. While it may not be an Android phone, it is still a spectacular piece of tech with some very interesting features. HTC is quite proud to say that it will be the first of many to revolutionize the phone market, bringing “a new sound and camera experience in 2013”. It is assumed that the M7, or their latest 1080p flagship, will be the first to implement this new tech. However, there is also the small chance that it will be implemented later this year in other devices. HTC did create a cute little pamphlet that explains it in a relatively simplistic, yet interesting way. You can find it at the end of this article.
There also have been some rumors lately about the M7 which this infographic sort of confirm. They say that the M7 is featuring a new type of stacked image sensor with something that HTC calls Ultrapixels. This means the sensor will have three layers of pixels stacked up on top of each other, thus forming said ultrapixel and saving the need for interpolation.
As far as the audio enhancement goes, people tend to believe that it will be sort of Beats Audio amplifier built into the phone, but no certainty can be put to that rumor. Thankfully we won’t really have to wait all that long to find out as the phone is said to get its official announcement on February 19. Hopefully that’s when all rumors will be put to rest.
In the meantime, here is that pamphlet I previously mentioned:
