The HTC One was a big success and many people actually preferred it to its other competitors. Following the popular trend of offering a “Mini” for each phone, HTC has decided to add a Mini-Me to their family as well. While they did initially have the problem of image with their phone being accused of being to big by all the wrong individuals and for all the wrong reasons, it is assumed that they will shut the mouths of all of the individuals that complained with this move.
There have been several leaks and indications that this was coming, but now some alleged pictures of the devices managed to surface and it is more or less officials now. The origin of the photos isn’t all that important – the important thing here is the confirmation of the specs of said HTC One Mini. Apparently, it is a Single-SIM device with not a trace of support for Dual-SIM, at least for the moment, anyway ( also, it might be worth pointing out that China got a special Dual-SIM HTC One with a remove-able back panel ).
The specifications aren’t 100% cleared yet, but they seem a sure shot to be as follows: a 4.3 inch screen with a 720p resolution, a 4 MP UltraPixel camera ( possibly without OIS considering that the Butterfly S doesn’t have it either ), a Snapdragon 400 chipset ( with a Dual-Core Krait 300 with 1.4 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and an Adreno 305 GPU ), Android 4.2.2 ( the same as the HTC One, with support for BlinkFeed and everything ) and a storage of 16 GB ( presumably non-expandable as there are no current signs of any Micro SD slot ).
With so much information already available, one thing is for certain. The official announcement is just behind the corner and soon enough we shall see whether or not this information is worth anything.
