A few days ago, Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Ground 2, a pretty awesome device from, what I can gather, a pretty mid-to-low budget price. You see, this device keeps the self-created tradition to which Samsung seems to be holding as of recent. It’s also sharing in the design which seems to be very popular with Samsung phones ever since the Galaxy Note 3 – I am, of course, referring to the stitching pattern around the fake leather back.
The reasons I said this phone was made for a lower budget is the fact that, besides looking like a top-grade smartphone and having the design and looks down, it doesn’t necessarily have the exact hardware specs for a top-grade phone. I’ve seen phones with specs close to this one for around 200 dollars or so. Therefore, I’d not estimate this phone to cost more than 350 dollars ( with all things considered, brand name and all ).
As far as features, hardware and other go, the Galaxy Grand 2 seems to be a pretty okay device. It’s equipped with:
- a new 5.25 inch LCD screen with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, which is drastically improved compared to the WVGA display of the previous model
- it has a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz processor
- 1.5 GB of RAM; 8 GB of internal storage and even a MicroSD card slot
With a larger display, it’s logical that this device is a bit taller and somewhat wider than its predecessor. It still has a Dual-SIM slot and the same 8 MP camera on the back of the phone. It’ll be equipped with Android OS v4.3 Jelly Bean upon release.
As far as colors go, this Galaxy Grand 2 can mostly be acquired in White, but it will be available in Black and Pink as well, but only in a few countries and only for a limited, promotional time.
