If you’ve played PC games in your days, you should know that there is game publisher out there known as Pop-Cap Games. If you haven’t heard about them on the PC, I bet you’ve heard of them on the Android as they started some time ago to port their old PC games to the Android consoles. Plants vs Zombies is one such game, and an absolutely brilliant one too. It was easily known as one of the more awesome games. After its release, it spawned tons of plant and zombie related jokes and comics and animations on the Internet.
This game, while when you try to explain it sounds like a complete waste of talent, is quite fun and enjoyable to play. My little brother has been playing it over and over and over again and he loves it every time. Your objective is simple: stop the zombies from getting from one side of the screen to the other. And since not everyone is armed to the teeth like every action hero in every zombie movie ever imagined, all you have to defend yourself are a bunch of plants. You will have to use those plants ( with uniquely funny abilities ) to stop the zombies from munching on your mushy brain.

DESCRIPTION:
In this game you are given ( by the end of the game, not necessarily from the start ) 49 types of plants with which to repel the invasion of 26 types of zombies on your home. While the plants do have their own set of unique powers ( as I’m sure I’ve already mentioned ), so do the zombies. There are those who are shielded, those who can jump over your defensive line ( that’s why it’s wise to have more than 1 – tip for late-game ) and so forth. As the game goes on you will have to learn to adapt in order to survive. You cannot simply go about just spamming pea-shooters and hoping for the best. In order to make you vary your attacks and play style, at certain points you are forced to switch from some plants to the others. Take for instance the night-time levels, levels in which you have to use all types of mushrooms instead of your regular sun-flowers. Also, the game has all sorts of bonus levels in which you use that which lies at your disposal to survive. In some you get infinite sun power while in others you get nothing but walnuts with which you have to mow the zombie horde down.
Plants vs Zombies has often been referred to as one of the top tower defense action games, however, if you ask me it sort of redefines the tower defense genre. Most tower defense games, or at least the classic ones, make you put towers across a very windy road in order to defend against wave after wave of invaders. This one is sort of similar, but placed in a different context and in a different form. You will find yourself facing not just the zombie horde, but also the natural elements here and there. Small things like a setting sun, night-time or a sudden fog will add to making the game even more challenging.
In the end it’s worth its decent amount of coin for which it is sold. If you want, you can also take a look at this trailer if you need further convincing:
