There is a Chinese manufacturer known as Gionee. This particular manufacturer made a rather bold claim when announcing their latest flagship smartphone – the Elife E7. This particular claim was that this device is the best Android CameraPhone available on the market. This phone will be running on an operating system known as AMIGO 2.0 – or as it most surely is: a heavily skinned version of Android.
The features of this phone are nonetheless quite good. The Elife E7 is known to be sporting a 5.5 inch JDI display with a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with an added up pixel density of 401 ppi, which no matter how you look at it is really sharp. The screen’s also protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Hardware-wise, this phone’s doing well for itself: they said it has a Quad-Core Krait 400 2.2 GHz processor and a Snapdragon 800 chipset. The 4G LTE version of this phone is also said to be the first smartphone globally to house a 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU. There will be a difference in the RAM depending on storage version: 2 GB of RAM for the 16 GB storage one and 3 GB for the 32 GB one. Look forward to us reviewing it when it officially comes out.
Now onto what really interests us: the camera. This phone is known to have a 16 MP camera on it with a higher 1.34 µm size than the usual. It also is known that it comes with a secondary 8 MP front-facing camera. The primary lens is based the Largan M8 solution and is said to deliver quite sharp images.
The operating system found on it, the AMIGO 2.0, is on it out-of-the-box and is said to come with a pretty wide range of customize-able apps on it. The power on this smartphone is ensured by a 2500 mAh non-remove-able battery.
This self-proclaimed Best CameraPhone will be up for purchase December 5th, and it’ll be out in a wide range of colors: Black, White, Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow and Orange. The 16 Gb variant will cost circa 443 dollars, while the 32 GB one will be worth roughly 525 dollars. The smartphone will also hit markets outside of China by early 2014.
